City Loops
The CityLoops project brings together seven European cities – Apeldoorn, Bodø, Mikkeli, Porto, Seville, Høje-Taastrup and Roskilde - to pilot a series of demonstration actions to close the loop of two of the most important waste streams in Europe: Construction and Demolition Waste, and Biowaste. Their ultimate aim is to become circular cities in which no resource goes to waste, driving the transition to the circular economy.

Biovoices
Bio-based products and services can only become economically viable when they include improved and marketable features, and guarantee a sustainable performance accepted by society. The BIOVOICES project comes in by ensuring the engagement of all the relevant stakeholders for the success of the implementation of a bioeconomy in Europe through a platform, which will involve a plurality of voices with different perspectives, knowledge, and experiences whilst also animating open dialogue, co-creation and mutual learning between them.

Circular Cities Declaration
The European Circular Cities Declaration is designed to help accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy in Europe, and thereby create a resource-efficient, low-carbon and socially responsible society. Among other things, it aims to allow local and regional governments across Europe to communicate their commitment to supporting the circular transition and establish a community of committed organisations to share their experiences, challenges and successes.
LUCRA
LUCRA is a Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) funded initiative on a mission to revolutionise biobased chemicals. Ten industrial partners and renowned research centres from seven countries representing the whole value chain from feedstock to products have joined forces to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of transforming organic waste into bio-succinic acid on a pre-industrial scale.
By combining cutting-edge thermal and enzymatic technologies, innovative fermentation and electrochemical processes, LUCRA, led by Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, will pave the way for a sustainable, resource-efficient, and circular bioeconomy.

SYMSITES
The SYMSITES project aims at developing new technologies and solutions based on the Industrial and Urban symbiosis (I-US) concept, for local and regional collaborations among diverse actors (Citizens, Municipalities and Entreprises) and sectors improving the sustainability of the use of industrial and societal resources starting from wastewater and waste materials.
SYMSITES main asset lies in the valorisation of underused materials and energy resources (industrial side streams, industrial waste, by-products and end of life urban waste) and their transformation into feedstock for industrial processes.
REDOL
REDOL redesigns five value chains for solid urban waste (packaging, plastics, construction and demolition waste, textiles, and waste electrical and electronic equipment), resulting in the production of 12 circular products. Along the value chains, a range of new solutions will be implemented to upgrade management technologies for collecting, sorting, and classifying solid urban waste (SUW); enhance the processing routes of sorted materials to avoid landfilling; and apply cutting-edge digital tools to optimise value chains and interaction among key players.
REDOL is implemented in Aragon, with Zaragoza at the centre of the hub for circularity. In this way, REDOL is directly connected to the work carried out in one of Circular Biocarbon's biorefineries.
